O’More College of Design: In Detail

O’More College of Design: In Detail

Whether you’re a student, alumni, faculty or a member of the community, there may be small, but significant details you may not know about O’More. Check out a few of the details within our lovely campus in the video above.

Did you know that O’More’s founder, Mrs. Eloise Pitts O’More attended school in Paris, France at Le Collège Féminin for architecture, ballet, and fine arts before attending Parsons School of Design in New York City?

Have you noticed the stunning wallpaper upon entering the front doors of the mansion? This wallpaper is actually entitled “The Monuments of Paris” and was originally printed in 1814 with several hundred colors and thousands of hand-carved woodblocks. Although the original masterpieces were virtually impossible to obtain, in collaboration with the MET Museum, a small number of virtually identical, full-color reproductions were hand-screened to perfection.

Take a look at the floors when you walk in the mansion. Notice how beautifully they transition from room to room. Take a peek at the silverware in the parlor. Notice the stunning chandelier in Cafe Eloise.

There are many beautiful little details and hidden gems throughout the entire college campus. Give it a look and walk around with a new eye and take in all the little things.
