Jess Smith, Chair

After receiving a degree in Strategic Communication, Jess worked in a traditional advertising agency, a boutique design shop and as the owner of her own design firm focusing on corporate identity. Jess has served as Treasurer of the Board for the Nashville Chapter of AIGA and attends the annual How Design Conference to stay current on national and international graphic design practices.

Doug Regen, Professor of Practice

Doug joined O’More’s faculty four years ago as an adjunct instructor, and most recently as a professor of practice. Doug brings to the classroom over 30 years of design and marketing experience as a former ad agency executive creative, designing for regional and national brands. Doug left his agency to pursue his dream of designing and constructing site-specific furniture, that resides in homes and businesses throughout the South.

Tom Comer, Instructor

Since moving to Nashville in 1977, Tom has pursued parallel careers as a professional musician and a freelance graphic artist. An instructor at O'More since 2014, he and instructor George Hamilton established the O'More Print Shop and Letterpress Design programs to help familiarize students with the techniques and history of traditional printing.

After receiving a degree in Mass Communications, George's career has included writing songs and singing them on MTV, the Grand Ole Opry and International Radio, TV & Stage along with rebranding Nashville via his ``Viva! NashVegas®`` LetterPress Posters, Shirts & Bumper Stickers. George loves ``Painting Word Pictures With Wood`` at his “Good Wood Press” LetterPress Studio and his Poster Art, along with that of instructor Tom Comer, has appeared on ABC-TV's ``NASHVILLE``, in SOUTHERN LIVING Magazine and on walls around the world.
