O’More’s Fashion students participate in every aspect of the fashion industry – from illustration, to pattern drafting, to marketing and merchandising, to designing a runway collection, all while studying with industry professionals. With two different programs – Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising – the O’More Fashion School has a degree for the career you want.

 

The Nashville, TN fashion industry is one of the fastest-growing and most exciting markets to work in. O’More’s Fashion programs offer students unrivaled access to Nashville’s fashion industry by offering each student free NFA membership, a 72% industry job placement rate for 2015, and the opportunity to learn at the top fashion school in Tennessee.

 

The Fashion Design and Merchandising B.F.A. programs prepare students to compete successfully in the demanding fashion industry through the practical skills and experiential learning they have gained in our well-rounded program that intertwines design, business, and the latest technologies.

 

Upon completion of the B.F.A. programs in Fashion Design or Merchandising, graduates will:

  • Demonstrate an advanced skill level of design that meets professional standards in the fashion industry and specialized markets
  • Attain knowledge of design and how it correlates to successfully producing a quality product to the end consumer.
  • Proficiently communicate their ideas through a full range of written, verbal and technological skills
  • Execute decisions in the fashion industry using design thinking to analyze, conceptualize and solve problems
  • Acquire the business acumen necessary to compete in the global world of fashion

 

Alumnae are employed with companies that include, but not limited to Milly NY, Fossil, Disney Parks and Resorts, Fruit of the Loom, Natural Life, Hanes, Inc., Ballet Memphis, Carter’s-OshKosh B’gosh, Dillard’s, Inc., Dollar General, Elizabeth Suzann, Guess, Inc., FashionABLE, Genesco, Inc., Simplicity Creative, Ulta Beauty and VF Corp. (a $12 billon apparel, footwear and accessory company whose divisions include Vans, Nautica, Lucy, Reef, The North Face, Lee and Timberland).


Recognized as one of the TOP 10 fashion design programs in the South, and the only Tennessee program nationally ranked.
