What does it take to get in?
We look for a) minimum ACT score of 20, b) SAT II score of a 1410, or c) a 2.7 GPA from either high school or college. A student may also be admitted on academic probation when the overall completed application file does not meet or exceed regular admission standards. If considered for academic probation, the following materials may be requested: a portfolio, letters of recommendation and an interview with the appropriate Department Chair, or a Sewing Sample (see Fashion Department below).
Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
What do I need to do after I apply?
Please submit the following:
- Contact your high school and request an official high school transcript indicating that the applicant graduated or GED test scores. If a student has completed more than 30 college hours, high school transcripts or GED scores are not required.
- Contact your college(s) and have your official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions sent. If you haven’t attended another college, skip this step.
- ACT and/or SAT scores. Typically ACT and/or SAT scores are included with high school transcripts.
If a student does not meet or exceed the admission standards, he or she will have to complete the Sewing Sample. As sewing is the foundation of the fashion design program, O’More looks for a student’s ability to coordinate a cohesive sample with color and print, and demonstrate quality of construction.
All transcripts should be mailed to:
