The O'More Fashion Design & Merchandising BFA program is designed to prepare you for a career in the business.

It's not just our faculty of working professionals, who teach the latest trends with the latest technology. It's a commercial sewing studio, a state-of-the-art fashion CAD lab and an 8:1 student-instructor ratio. It's coveted internships with the best fashion designers in the world. And it's an annual New York-style fashion show of student-produced garments It all adds up to professional training, a focused education and an opportunity to transform your artistic ability and ambition into a career in fashion design and merchandising.

The O'More fashion faculty represents every facet of the industry, and it allows students to develop professional contacts while earning their degree. Employers are looking for more than creativity - they need highly trained professionals to enter the workplace and make an immediate impact. Your O'More education will take you there.

The training is intensive, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun. Our students take exciting field trips to key design markets, like New York City 's Garment District, where they often have the opportunity to visit with industry leaders like Donna Karan, Kay Unger and Amsale Bridal. Many have participated in internships with companies like David Rodrguez, Vera Wang and Esquire magazine. When you combine professional passion with the right training, great things happen.

Around the nation, O'More graduates are leaders in the fashion industry. People like Kate Ladshaw(2006) and Payton McClure (2007) are employed with companies in New York City. Annette Medcalf designed the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games uniforms. And Elizabeth and Mary Blankenship (2002) own and operate Ann Frances, a custom bridal and formalwear salon in Nashville. O'More alums are also employed by a number of Fortune 500 companies, such as Genesco, VF Imagewear and Fruit of the Loom. The possibilities are endless.

Each spring, students showcase their collections at a professionally-produced, New York-style fashion show attended by industry professionals and members of the community. For our students, it's a unique opportunity to show off what they've created to the right people. At O'More, you can make your own fashion statement.

Passion is a wonderful thing. It never needs food or water, never complains or argues. It just needs to be nurtured, guided and cared for.

Over the years, we've found that O'More fashion students are passionate about what they do. They see it as not just an education, but an outlet for creative spirit, a way to express themselves to the world. In many ways, it becomes a lifestyle as well as a career.

Our model of immersion in design instruction, built upon a foundation of liberal arts, nurtures that creative spark that drives our students down the path to a fulfilling career in the fashion industry. Our faculty of working professionals know that passion and the success it creates, and they want to pass on what they've learned to others.

It all takes place in a unique learning environment—an intimate, inspiring campus of seven park-like acres in the heart of the celebrated historic downtown core of Franklin, Tennessee . Your classroom may be listed on the National Register of Historic Places, but it will feature cutting-edge technology. Two blocks away is the Main Street retail district, with fashion and antique boutiques, restaurants and art galleries. Fifteen miles away is Nashville , with all a major city has to offer.

Come see us, and learn why O'More College of Design is like no other place in the world.
