Gallery description from Professor Susan DeGarmo: "Altered books are books, new or old, that have been changed into works of art. Students can do this by using an infinite number of mediums, manipulations, and creative ideas. Whatever you can think up goes! In this class I teach about 40 different techniques that the student can use to manipulate their books. Then they're on there own to create an altered book. As you can see, they're fantastic and it gets them off the computer for a while!"
