REVIT CLASS TO BE OFFERED THIS SUMMER

Anyone in the Nashville design community is invited to take a course in Revit this summer at O'More College. Tuition will be approximately $1500 for those taking the class for credit or $750 for those wishing to audit the class.  ASID and IIDA continuing education credit is offered for this and any other Interior Design classes at O'More.

The eight-week Revit class will take place on the main campus from 4:30 to 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays for eight weeks starting June 8.

For those interested in signing up for summer or fall classes, please contact David Koellein, Interior Design Department Chair, at dkoellein@omorecollege.edu.

At O'More, we love design, and we are serious about it. The professional interior designer is trained to identify, critique, and creatively solve problems. Our fully-accredited Interior Design Program, culminating in a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, produces designers qualified to do much more than simply select coordinating colors and materials. Graduates design complete commercial, residential, and public interior environments, and work with other professionals (such as architects, engineers, and environmental specialists) to maximize the potential of the human environment. Reflecting recent trends, our program emphasizes the urbanization of design and environmental stewardship.

O'More College of Design was founded as an interior design school. Our reputation is built upon an intensive curriculum, a faculty of industry-leading professionals, coveted internships, and distinguished alumni. Our impact is everywhere in Nashville and can be found around the globe.

Student building model

The O'More model is immersion in design instruction with industry leaders. Built upon liberal arts and fine arts foundations, the training is demanding, but the results speak for themselves. You will be well prepared for a successful career, and you'll enter the workplace with established industry contacts. You will learn to present your ideas using timeless hand-drafting and drawing techniques as well as the very latest design technologies including AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, and Revit software.

Real-world experience distinguishes the great from the good among designers, and our instructors know that. The interior design faculty at O'More includes award-winning designers and educators with a wealth of experience in commercial and residential design, illumination, business practice, furniture craftsmanship, and more.

Much of what you'll learn here can't be taught within the walls of a classroom. Opportunities for fun and rewarding extracurricular learning experiences abound. We encourage participation in regional design events and organizations and host student chapters of both ASID and IIDA. We travel domestically and internationally for an up-close look at historic design and modern construction. We serve our community, and our structured internship program ensures that you'll spend time training at respected firms.

Student design board

O'More's Interior Design Program was the first in the state to be accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), and we host Tennessee's oldest interior design program chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. We stay ahead of the curve, and we produce award-winning designers. In the past few years, seven of our students placed in the ASID Student Competition Awards, another won a $22,000 scholarship from the Angelo Donghia Foundation, and yet another was among the top finalists in a competition hosted by the Canadian DOW Bioproducts company.

Our campus has grown around historic buildings on a seven-acre, park-like campus in the heart of downtown Franklin, but our Interior Design Department is also housed in an innovative new workspace--a collaborative studio equipped for drafting, WiFi access, and state-of-the-art presentation techniques. Our setting inspires creativity.
