We employ a faculty of working professionals who teach the latest trends with the most up-to-date technology, state-of-the-art fashion CAD lab, and illustration and sewing studios. Our department also offers an 8:1 student/instructor ratio. The fashion department holds an annual New York-style fashion show with a selection of student-produced garments, and they have opportunities to sharpen your competitive edge for coveted internships with designers, stylists, fashion publications and storeowners. The O'More fashion faculty represent every facet of the industry, which allows students to develop professional contacts while earning their degree. Employers are looking for more than creativity; they need highly trained professionals to enter the workplace and make an immediate impact. |

The training we provide is intensive and the expectations high, but that doesn't mean the work can't be fun. Our students take exciting field trips to key design markets, like New York City's Garment District, where they often have the opportunity to visit with industry leaders, such as: Kay Unger, Martin Greenfield Clothiers, Jusarra Lee, Sondra Roberts Handbags, Parsons-Meares, Ltd. Costume Shop, and Saks Incorporated. Many have participated in internships with companies like Gustavo Cadile, Imogene+Willie, Jusarra Lee, Kay Unger, Imagination Costume, Vera Wang, Walt Disney World, and Esquire magazine. Around the nation, O'More graduates are industry leaders. Alums are employed with a number of companies including Dockers Shoes, TJX Companies, Inc., VF Corporation, and Johnston & Murphy Men's Shoes. Brooklyn Byrd (2009) opened Johnnie Q, a ladies' accessories and gift items boutique, located in downtown Franklin, Tennessee. Jamie Frazier and Hannah Jones (2009) design and own Jamie and the Jones. They have been featured in Nylon Magazine, Elle.com, Nashville Scene, Her Nashville and The Tennessean. Elizabeth and Mary Blankenship (2002) also opened Ann Frances, a custom bridal and formalwear salon in Nashville. The possibilities are endless. |

We employ a system of immersion in design instruction- built upon a foundation of liberal arts -to nurture the creative spark. Our faculty of working professionals understands the value of passion, as well as the role it serves in a successful career. They encourage and develop that in our students. Come see us and learn why O'More College of Design is a school like no other. Laptop Requirement: The approximate cost of $2,000 will be required for the purchase of a laptop and Microsoft Office software the first semester. Additional software will be required throughout the degree program. Students can purchase software using educational discounts, but they should also research and plan for other opportunities to save, such as Tennessee's Sales Tax Holiday.
